My name's Avery Wolf. I'm a student at the University of Michigan studying music performance (trombone, if the image above isn't a hint enough) and writing. On this blog, you'll find a consortium of previous pieces that I've written. You may find the topics exciting, dull, shocking, and perhaps even entertaining. Although I'm a music student, writing has always been an important outlet for me. Strong communication is one of the most valuable skills one can possess in practically every domain of life; relationships, work, school. Being able to not only accurately imprint your own ideas onto paper, but also to convince someone that your ideas truly mean something, is an indispensable tool. For that reason, you'll likely find a variety of mediums on this website; formal academic essays, creative pieces, and typical blog posts from a plethora of topics. I try not to write about things that I'm ignorant of, so the pieces that I choose to narrow in on tend to be topics I'm passionate about.

Hopefully this website will be emblematic of my goals through the Minor in Writing; to refine my ideas and polish the manner in which I communicate them. Even though I aspire to be in the backrow of an orchestra someday, every facet of life demands excellency in how we display ourselves and the thoughts we inhabit.
